Who we are

LinePal is an independent hockey analytics product built by ShotPal. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Hockey League, the NHLPA, or any team. Team names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify teams.

Data sources

Rosters, statistics, schedules, draft results, injury designations, and official signing announcements come from the NHL's public data feeds and the league's and clubs' own announcements. Salary figures are compiled by LinePal from official league and team announcements; each compiled figure links to the announcement it came from. A one-time seed of publicly reported contract values was used to establish the initial baseline.

Facts such as scores, statistics, and contract values are not copyrightable, and LinePal maintains its own database of them. We do not republish any other site's compiled database.

What LinePal is not

LinePal is not a sportsbook and offers no gambling services or betting advice. Ratings, line-balance scores, and projections are labelled models with uncertainty, not predictions of outcomes.

Lineups shown are editorial estimates assembled from public information (real ice-time combinations, ratings, injury reports). They are not official team lineups.

Accounts & privacy

Accounts require only an email address and a password. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; we never see your plain-text password. Saved lineups are private to your account. Contact-form submissions are stored so we can reply and are never shared or sold. We set no advertising or tracking cookies.

Corrections

Spot a wrong figure, stale roster, or misattributed line? Use the contact form and include a link to a public source. Corrections ship quickly.
